RingBoxer is Britain’s dedicated boxing voice — a place for fans, fighters, coaches and anyone who loves the sweet science. We cover every corner of UK boxing: major fight nights in London and Manchester, gritty regional cards, emerging prospects, the women’s scene, historical profiles, ringside analysis and the business that shapes the sport.
Our Story
RingBoxer began as a small newsletter written by a handful of obsessive fans who couldn’t find sharp, honest coverage of the domestic scene. We wanted more than press releases and highlight reels: we wanted context, argument and the voices you usually only hear from inside the gym. Over time the newsletter grew into a full-time site staffed by journalists and ex-professionals who combine access with opinion — always with the fan in mind.
What We Do
Our content falls into three pillars:
- News & Live Reporting: Fast, accurate coverage of bouts, cards and breaking items that matter to UK boxing.
- Features & Analysis: Tactical breakdowns, longform interviews and explainers that add depth to the headlines.
- Local & Community: Stories from gyms, grassroots events and the trainers shaping tomorrow’s champions.
Editorial Approach
We write with attention and attitude. Our pieces are rooted in facts and primary sources — interviews, fight footage, official records and boots-on-the-ground reporting. We welcome strong opinions but label them clearly. When we make a mistake, we publish corrections promptly. Our goal is to serve an intelligent fan who wants more than hot takes: someone who wants explanation, history and the occasional contrarian argument.
Meet the Team
RingBoxer is run by a small team of journalists, ex-amateur fighters, coaches and editors. Our contributors include:
- Editor-in-Chief: (fictional/placeholder) — long-time boxing reporter with ringside experience across the UK.
- Features Editor: deep-dive specialist who writes profiles and historical pieces.
- Freelance Contributors: trainers, former pros and regional correspondents who bring local insight.
How We Make Money
RingBoxer funds our journalism through a mix of display advertising, sponsored features (clearly labeled), affiliate partnerships and reader support. We accept straightforward sponsorships from boxing-related brands and local businesses. Advertising revenue helps keep open reporting running, but it never influences our editorial judgement — ads are kept separate from editorial content.
Contribute & Pitch
Got a story, gym tip, or an overlooked prospect we should watch? Pitch us. We welcome:
- Firsthand accounts from gyms or events
- Profiles and interview suggestions
- Match previews and post-fight analysis from knowledgeable contributors
Corrections & Ethics
Accuracy matters. If you spot an error, email corrections@ringboxer.com with the subject “Correction” and we will investigate. Our corrections policy is simple: we fix mistakes quickly, note the change, and explain what happened when appropriate.
Join the Community
Follow RingBoxer on social channels for live updates, clips and discussion. We love robust debate — but abusive behaviour, personal attacks and doxxing are not welcome. We moderate comments and social threads to keep the conversation focused on boxing.
